The Treehouse located on 6 private acres on The Colorado River. It is quaint, charming and available for you and your family on a daily or weekly rental. The cabin sleeps up to 10 comfortably and comes complete with everything you will need for that perfect romantic get-away for two, fishing trip or family retreat. The Treehouse Vacation Cabin will give you the seclusion you are looking for to relax and enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings. The stone fireplace is just an added touch to the many amenities the cabin provides which includes all your linens, cooking utensils, appliances, bar-b-que grills, satellite tv, stereo, much more...We even supply the firewood!

We are pet friendly, so please bring along the family dog(s). They love to romp in the leaves, check out the new smells and splash in the river. The outdoor shower with hot/cold water will help wash them up for their trip home.

Bring along your canoe & kayak for a ride down the river. Our access to the Colorado River has allowed The Treehouse Vacation Cabin to partner with the Texas Parks and Wildlife River Access program. Fishing opportunities. From December to April, there is a chance to see Bald Eagles along the river. Birds galore!!!

  • The Treehouse, located in Smithville, Texas was the home to the filming of the movie "Hope Floats".
  • It is located just 15 minutes from Bastrop and 45 minutes from Austin.
  • It is also an easy drive from Houston, Dallas and San Antonio.
  • Rates begin at $184 for 2 per night. Additional guests are $23.00 each a night.
  • We are pet friendly, so please feel free to bring along the family dog(s). The nightly rate for our canine guests is $22.00 each
  • Hotel tax of 13% is added to these rates. No extra cleaning or security deposits charged
  • We accept VISA, Mastercard and Discover Credit Cards
  • To reserve The Treehouse, we request advance payment equal to half of the cost of your stay. The balance would be due 10 days in advance of arrival
  • RV hook ups available for group visits
